The Arizona Joshua Tree Forest has been called the densest forest of its kind in the world.
The forest is located on the Grapevine Mesa, approximately 50 miles northwest of Kingman, 20 miles southeast of Lake Mead National Recreation Area, and 16 miles west of the Hualapai Nation's Skywalk and Grand Canyon West.
Nestled between the village of Meadview, Lake Mead City, and the imposing Grand Wash Cliffs are approximately 44,228 acres of Joshua trees that have been recognized as a significant natural resource since 1930.
